On June 29, the Dynamo Lviv water polo club celebrated its 75th anniversary. At the ceremony, the history of “Dynamo” was remembered, “Dynamo” members of different generations were honored, and the stamp that the club jointly developed with “Ukrposhta” for the 75th anniversary of the team was redeemed. Since 1949, this is the only team in Ukraine that has not missed a single championship of Ukraine.
VK “Dynamo” Lviv” is the most titled water polo club in Ukraine since 1949. During the Independence of Ukraine, “Dynamo” Lviv” became the 11-time champion of Ukraine, 13-time winner of the Cups and 7-time winner of the Super Cup of Ukraine.
As the honorary president of FC “Ruh” Lviv Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy noted: “For me, WC “Dynamo” Lviv is one of the symbols of sports Lviv. Today, the team is showing excellent results, developing and moving forward. I am sure that this club has a great future, people here live with their hearts to develop and increase the glory of the team.”
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy noted that athletes, coaches and the entire team of “Dynamo” Lviv” have come a long way in 75 years. The team today demonstrates excellent results, develops and strives forward, to new victories and achievements.
In turn, the president of the water polo federation of Ukraine and the honorary president of WC “Dynamo” Lviv” Oleksandr Svishchov congratulated the glorious club, players and coaches on the anniversary. He also spoke about the significant achievements of the club during the years of Ukraine’s independence.
“First of all, I want to thank all generations of WC “Dynamo” Lviv: veterans of the club, coaches, players of different generations. They made a great contribution to the development of the team. Today, we have an example of past generations on how to achieve high results. I know that the current players will multiply and glorify the club not only in Ukraine, but also in the international arena. I congratulate everyone involved on the anniversary,” Oleksandr Svishchov added .
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy and Oleksandr Svishchov are actively involved in the development of not only water polo and football, but all Ukrainian sports. They sincerely believe in the power of sports and strive to make it more accessible to all Ukrainians.
Thanks to their generosity and visionary policies, thousands of children and young people have the opportunity not only to train and compete, but also to feel part of a team, develop team spirit and learn important life skills.
The contribution of Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy and Oleksandr Svishchov to the development of sports in Ukraine was recognized by the “Obozrevatel” publication, they were included in the top 10 businessmen of Western Ukraine who are actively developing sports. It is people like Oleksandr Svishchov and Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy who make our sport stronger and our country healthier and more united.
