Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy and FC “Ruh” joined the organization of a charity football tournament in honor of border soldiers. The main goal of the tournament was to raise funds for drones for the Armed Forces.
“The war is not over yet, that’s why we need to continue helping the Armed Forces,” noted a well-known Lviv businessman and philanthropist, founder of FC “Ruh” Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy.
The tournament took place in Vynnyky at the Bohdan Markevich Stadium.
According to Oleg Shpur, the executive director of the Charitable Organization “Movement to the Future Fund for Ukraine”, the foundation responded to the proposal of the Western Regional Department of the State Security Service of Ukraine to hold an event on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. The foundation decided to support this initiative in order to raise funds for the military who defend the borders of our country.
9 teams from different border detachments of the DPSU took part in the competition. The teams played in a 6×6 format, and according to the rules of the tournament, one football star played in each team.
Military and Ukrainian football stars played bright matches and demonstrated a high level of play. So, after the group stage (3 groups of 3 teams), the participants were divided into leagues — Gold, Silver and Bronze. “Volyn” won the Golden League, “Mukachevo” won the Silver League, and “Chernivtsi” won the Bronze League.
During the tournament, a charity auction was held, and among the lots were Andriy Pyatov’s autographed gloves and a football with autographs of football stars.

Roman Pavlenko, the head of the media interaction sector of the Western regional department of the State Security Service of Ukraine, thanked everyone who participated in the organization of this tournament. Border guards are collecting funds, which are directed to the purchase of material means for Ukrainian defenders.
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyi together with FC “Rukh” have been helping the Ukrainian military since the first days of Russian aggression. The Lviv businessman and philanthropist noted that the athletes helped and will help the Armed Forces to fight against the Russian occupiers.
“Now the USA and NATO countries should continue the transfer of weapons for the Armed Forces. They will also need to provide our country with political and financial support for the long term,” said Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, the founder of FC Ruh.
The organizers of the charity tournament were FC “Rukh”, the State Border Service of Ukraine and “Charitable organization “Help Fund of Ukraine “Movement to the Future”.
Previously, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy and FC “Ruh” together with the Norwegian charitable foundation “Fritt Ukraina” helped the 45th separate artillery brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by purchasing 30 DJI Mavic 3 Cine drones.
